The Connecticut data privacy act (CTDPA) comes into effect in 2023 and is the primary statute for protecting personal data of Connecticut residents. It introduced a series of consumer access rights such as right to delete, right to amend, right to opt-out and others. It also introduced responsibilities and penalties for non-compliance for businesses. CTDPA is enforced by the Connecticut office of the attorney general.
